Posted by susantenby on February 2, 2010
In case some of you haven’t heard, it is Social Media week around the world.
What is Social Media Week?
Social Media Week conferences take place simultaneously in multiple cities around the world. The aim of each event is to advance uses of social media in the corporate, public and non-profit sectors.

I am honored to be speaking at this upcoming panel on Thursday, February 4th, for social media week, on Social Media for Social Impact
This panel will occur in downtown San Francisco at Autodesk. The panel will explore the use of social media in making progress on social causes, and panelists will review case studies, criteria for success and lessons learned from each of the panelists.
I will discuss the work TechSoup Global does with Second Life and nonprofits, and will be highlighting our other online social networking strategies. I will be accompanied by co-panelists from Yahoo! For Good, eBay’s GreenTeam and Wiser Earth.
The attendee list is an impressive collection of nonprofit community organizers, social entrepreneurs and social media/online community experts. Sign up now, if you haven’t already done so, as there are less than 20 available seats left.
Lunch is included in the $20.00 admission cost, and all proceeds from the event will be donated to the American Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund.
